I found this skirt suit in my local charity shop to use for the refashioners challenge. I made it into a knee length A line skirt. The jacket formed the greater part of the transformation, the skirt was used for donor panels.
I used a newly bought invisible zipper foot to make some piping
Basically the skirt was made up of 2 layers of panels with the piping between. The high stretch content of the fabric meant I could add a soft waistband without needing a zip.
